Pnomh Penh was the first city where I actually felt moderately concerned for my safety. Although the gritty, bustling, tiring capital city had some interesting tourist destinations, but it was the lakeside guesthouse that I found the most pleasant. I curled up on the covered porch with the DaVinci Code during the afternoon monsoon rains and watched the clouds race across the sky above the lake.
